Peppermint indicates rapid progress, a quick return or increase of positive energies and if you are seeking an answer it is a loud and firm yes! Make sure you are directing all your energy and attention to the task at hand and if you are in a relationship try to do more activities with that person that pleases them. There is a need to listen to others and consider other arguments at the moment but do not let others completely make decisions for you.
Use peppermint when you need to relax, conserving energy for an arduous road ahead. Peppermint encourages you to resist wasting energy on trivial things. Instead, save that energy for tasks that add to the value of your well being and life's goals.
Peppermint is a Venus-ruled herb, which may explain its use in spells for spiritual growth, love, and psychic enhancement. It is an herb that aids in encouraging prophetic dreams, encouraging one to get ready for future events that may require large concentrations of energy.
Peppermint is sacred to Cerridwen, the Celtic Goddess of fertility, Demeter, Greek goddess of vegetation, the harvest, and agriculture, and Hecate, Greek goddess of magic.
Cerridwen is a powerful Underworld goddess and the guardian of the cauldron of knowledge, inspiration and rebirth. She rules the realms of death, fertility, regeneration, inspiration, magic, enchantment and knowledge. She is also the goddess of magical rites and spells, wealth, poetry, and love. Cerridwen is often cited as using her magic cauldron to make potions to bring wisdom and inspiration to those who drink them. In witchcraft, she is considered a 'white witch' and shapeshifter. Cerridwen is also associated with herbology and astrology. Because of her shapeshifting abilities, she is also considered to be a goddess of transformation and change.
Every month we will explore a new plant deva as divined by Cheralyn Darcy’s Green Witch Oracle Cards.
